March Review

4 min read

Like last month, I wanted to do take some time to do a little March review. Check in with my goals, think about what worked and what didn’t and why.

If you have followed along, you might have read about my goal to make a point of celebrating wins. This is a big part of why I do these reviews. To ackowledge the things I have achieved more than beating myself up about what did not get done.

You might have also read about my various hobbies. There are quite a few things that are important to me. So, I hope to make time for them regularly. That being said, in the post I also talk about that there are seasons. Sometimes I get fairly intense about one hobby (like right now – pretty much all I do is blogging) and therefore have less margin for other interests. This is important for me to remember, as I can sometimes feel a bit defeated about everything I didn’t do.

Let’s dive into my March review!

March review: the big picture

It has been quite an intense month. Edd had his first two stints of travelling for work to England. In total, he was gone for 10 days during this month. Sarina had a fever for over a week and then shortly after both her and me got the stomach flu. On two weekends we had friends from England staying with us. So, quite a lot was happening!

Daily goals and habits

Despite all that I managed to publish blog posts every single day! I am quite proud of that achievement, if I may say so. There definitely were days when I did not feel like writing but wanted to honour my committment to this project. And I am glad I did!

However, as mentioned, I did not do much else. I played piano on four days, did my physio exercises on five. I still read alsmot everyday, but did not do very much knitting compared to normally. Even though it’s a shame to not have had more time to play the piano, it’s okay for now. My priorities will shift again, and I well blog less and practice more.

I really should do more of my physio exercises. I will definitely have to work on that next month! Same as going to bed earlier. I stayed up way too late way too often.

Weekly + monthly goals

My aim was to finish a book a week, that didn’t quite happen, but I at least made my way through three books. (You can read more about them here).

I only went swimming twice this month. In the beginning of March I had hoped to do a workout once a week as well, a yoga practice or some bodystrength exercises. I did that three times, so not too bad.

During my time off work I finished a sewing project and completed a pair of knitted socks (more about those projects here). I had hoped to also finish a baby romper I am knitting on but I have only made a few centimetres of progress.

I am writing this on the 30th of March. As of yet I haven’t sewed my seeds for March in the garden, but it could still happen tomorrow. However, SJ is not going to nursery and the weather is not looking to promising. So we will see…

March review + outlook

March was an exhausting but good month. I achieved some things and completely dropped the ball on others. For the coming month I should probably take it a bit slower and add fewer things to my plate. I am excited for April, for more blogging and living and enjoying.

How was your March? I would love to hear about it.

This is Day 38 of my 100 Day Project. You can learn more about my 100 day project by reading this postIf you want to do your own 100 day Project, I would recommend checking out the 100 Day Project website.
