Meditation Monday

2 min read

Happy Easter Monday friends!

What wonderful news that Jesus died for our sins and that he defeated sin and death!

In order to ponder this wonderful news a bit more deeply I thought it would be nice to start the week with a short time of meditating on what Jesus won for us.

Meditating on God’s word is something I want to grown in more. Maybe we could make “Meditation Monday” a more regular thing and try out a couple of different ways to ponder God’s word together.

Lectio Divina

For today, I recorded a short ‘Lectio Divina’. The latin term translates to ‘divine reading’. It is a traditional monastic practice of reading or hearing scripture, meditating and praying with the aim to connect more deeply with God.

The idea is that you listen to a passage four times. Taking the time to ponder in your heart and mind, respond to God and to simply be in his presence.

There is not really anything mystical about it (despite the high brow name).

Without further ado: let’s meditate on God’s word!

Do let me know if you found this helpful! If there is anything to improve these recordings or if there are any passages you would like to hear in the future, feel free to get in touch.

I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!
