Life Update Vol. 1

…these days our belongings are either all over the floor or in moving boxes. It’s exciting to move house but I am not a fan of the packing part. I don’t even like to pack one bag to go on holiday so the concept of packing EVERYTHING is a bit like torture to me.

…these days I am feeling more and more convinced that becoming a minimalist is the right thing to do.

…these days my heart is filled with gratitude for all my amazing girlfriends. Some of them live around the corner, some of them a few miles up or down the motorway and some of them over in Germany. I feel incredibly lucky to have so many women in my life who inspire me, who are interested in me, who make the hard days a little easier and the good days even better.

…these days my knitting addiction is getting out of hand. I just finished knitting a jumper which you can see in my last post. On Tuesday I started making some little socks and already have ideas for more projects. Do you guys like knitting? Or would like to learn? I am thinking of doing a little sock knit-a-long where I could teach you how to make some cute and cozy socks – let me know if you’re interested in that.

…these days my Bible is in a moving box. I am using an app called ‘youversion‘ on my phone to connect with God’s word. Currently, I am reading a plan where you can get through the New Testament in 60 days. I am 5 days behind or so but I am really enjoying it.

…these days my night time reading is John Green’s newest book “Turtles All the Way Down“. I am about a third of the way through and really loving the story so far.

…these days I listen to Jamie Cullum, Caroline King and Lil Hardin Armstrong.

…these days I am writing applications and preparing for interviews and feeling nervous about them.

…these days I often feel sad and a bit stressed and tired. November is always kind of a hard month and there is so much going on right now. But in a weird way I also feel more at peace and loved by God than I ever have. Life is weird that way. Sometimes good and bad are not far apart.

…these days I really love this little blog of mine and to get to know you more and other bloggers and creatives. Let me know if you write a blog or something like that. I love getting inspired by what you guys are up to!
