One of my favourite posts from my 100 Day project so far was capturing some of my favourite memories with SJ last month. She is growing and changing so fast! So I thought I’d share a bit of SJ at 19 months.
At 19 months, SJ has strong opinions on what she wants to wear. Anything with animals is normally a winner. Especially if it is a fox, an owl or a cat.
Generally, animals are IT. She gets so excited whenever we see a dog and even more so when we spot a cat. Today we visited my friend on her farm in the Black Forest again and SJ had the best time seeing the chickens, petting bunnies and guinea pigs and feeding goats.
She loves going to nursery. Sometimes she wakes up in the morning and shouts the name of the nursery, wants to put shoes and coat on immediately, despite still being in her PJs.
One of her favourite activities these days is doing puzzles. It is amazing to me that she can now do something so well that was impossible a few weeks ago.
Everyday she is learning new words. Edd taught her how to say “Ferrari” and she repeats the numbers when I count to 10. When she calls out “Happy” she wants to listen to “If you’re happy and you know it…” and when she wants to play she says “toy!”. My favourite is when she says “cuddle” or “hug”. So cute!
We introduced her to babble baths recently and she is obsessed. Being in the water in general is her happy place.
SJ absolutely adores her cousins. She sees them most weekends and asks about them for the rest of the week. Recently, my brother took her and his two sons to the Zoo. She kept talking about them and monkeys for weeks.
It feels like such a privilege to be adored and loved so much. Most of the time SJ want ma to be wherever I am. She is super interested in everything I do and wants to join in or help me.
I love hanging out with her, she is just so much fun!
