Additionally to setting goals I like choosing a word for the year. Something that is like an overarching intention, a guide or even something I want to invite into my life.
Last year’s word
Last year, my word was connected. My desire was to be connected to God, to people and to myself. Looking back, I have felt connected in all those areas.
We got connected into a church, I managed to be more intentional about pursuing time with friends and have prioritised rest and doing things that make me feel like myself (sometimes at the expense of how clean our house was, but you can’t have it all!).
My word for 2025
My word for 2025 is expand.
One of the things I am praying for is a bigger place to live. We love our current flat but it’s difficult to host and we’re struggling for storage space.
I will be taking on small bits of work, slowly expanding my sphere of influence.
My hope for this blog isn’t that I can invest more time into it and for my readership to grow.
And I am open and hoping to expand my horizon, my comfort zone, my heart.
I’m excited to see all the ways we will get to expand this year.
Are you choosing a word for the year?
If you are thinking about picking a word for 2025 I’d encourage you to give it a try!
If you need some inspiration you can read about my previous words here: connected, words, joy, rhythm, peace and focus.
This post is day 9 of my 12 days of blogmas challenge. Read more here.
