Another month nearly over. February was a bit mad for us. The first weekend we celebrated Lu’s birthday, the second and third we had people from the UK with us and then we travelled to England ourselves!
On top of that Edd had an extremely hard and stressful couple of weeks at work. But we’re here and alive!
Today I am sharing a little snapshot of what life looks like these days.
Lately, I’ve been…
Eating nothing too exciting. Both girls love mashed potatoes, so we normally have it at least twice a week.
Drinking too much coffee.
Wearing all the knitted jumpers in my wardrobe. It’s still rather cold.
Working on this year’s 100 Day Project! I will do a more detailed blog post about it next week, but I share about it daily over on my Instagram, if you like to follow along!
Watching “Silo” on Apple TV. Very tense!
Reading “Wool” by Hugh Howey. “Silo” is based on this book. Edd read it years ago and absolutely loved it which is why we started watching the TV adaptation. After enjoying the first couple of episodes so much, I decided to pick it up as well. I normally prefer character development over action but the book is very gripping and a enjoyable read.
Listening to lots of worship music. I have also been enjoying the 100 Day Project podcast – it’s so inspiring! Last week I finished listening to “Intermezzo” by Sally Rooney. She is one of my all time favourite authors and this book was such a treat.
Tracking habits with a habit tracker and finding it super helpful. I am planning on sharing a bit more about it next week as well in a dedicated post.
Sewing a quilt. It’s almost complete, currently working on the binding. (More about it here.)
Knitting a little baby jumper for a friend’s baby which will be born soon. I am also very nearly done with my Copenhagen cardigan.
Delighted by daffodils, snow drops and crocuses that are emerging everywhere. Spring is coming!
Grateful for how much Lu and SJ like each other. They obviously have their disagreements but most of the time they play so sweetly together and make each other laugh a lot.
Practicing piano a bit more again. Making music is just such a wonderful way to spend my time.
Enjoying being home and back to normal routine. It’s nice to travel and to have friends staying but I am glad that we have a bit of normality for the next few weeks.
Feeling surprisingly peaceful. We’re facing a lot of uncertainty right now and it is kind of stressful. However, I am convinced that God has good plans. That doesn’t mean that everything will be easy but he is with us.
Lately, SJ…
loves dressing up. It’s Fastnacht (similar to Karneval) here right now and she basically lives in her leopard costume (which is a tiger in her books).
plays lots with Magna tiles and got back into doing puzzles which I am rather happy about!
still draws amazing pictures and loves colouring.
makes up songs about anything and everything.

Lately, Lulu…
turned 1 year old!! I can’t quite believe it.
is obsessed with climbing on everything. We have a little climbing frame/ladder toy that she loves. Also, she could go up and down stairs all day long.
received a doll as a birthday present and Lulu loves her which is so cute. SJ decided that their babies are called Rosie and Pixie and I actually love those names!
babbles away all the time! No proper words yet, but it’s rather delightful.
