Right now, I feel confused about so many things.
What church should look like and how to correctly interpret the Bible. I have doubts about things that I used to champion. Questions about theology and doctrine and how it all applies to my life and the life of my friends.
But when I sit down and close my eyes and surrender all those questions for a moment, I sense that God is not angry at me for my doubts.
I take a deep breath and feel peace flood my heart, my soul, my body.
As I sit there, I am reminded of a Bible verse in James:
“Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.”
James 4:8
I feel grateful. The God of the universe is not threatened by my questions. His love does not waver like my faith sometimes does.
In the midst of my turmoil, God is faithful.
