Long time readers might have been waiting for this post – I am a bit late in sharing my 2026 goals this year but here we are!
Tomorrow is the last day of the winter break, then both girls will be back in nursery each morning. I am actually a bit sad as I have really gotten used to having them around all day. We have had such nice chill days together and I’m dreading leaving our little Christmas bubble. However, I am looking forward to having a bit more time on my own!
Normally, I think and write out all my goals before NYE, but this year I just didn’t have enough time to sit down and really think about what I want to prioritise in 2026. That’s okay! It’s never to late to be intentional with one’s time!
However, before I dive into my goals for 2026, I briefly wanted to touch on the goals I had set for 2025. As a quick summary: I haven’t managed to complete my Bible in a Year plan and also didn’t do a Bible Study Class which I am a bit sad about. We didn’t go on as many dates as we had hoped but we had more than before, so I count that as a win! I exceeded my goal of reading 50 books (you can read reviews of my favourite reads here). I also accomplished all my crafting goals other than doing an audit of all my supplies. Overall, I am quite content!

My 2026 goals
Let’s get to it!
Faith + Spirituality goals for 2026
I want to caveat this category a bit! My faith is extremely important to me. It’s the foundation for all the other stuff. Even though I put it as a category next to fitness, reading and crafting – my friendship with Jesus is a lot more important and all-encompassing.
Also – I believe that I am saved by what Jesus did for me on the cross. Not by how many pages I read in my Bible. But like exercising and eating healthy is good for my body, reading Scripture, prayer, serving in church etc. are important for my Spirit. That’s why I set goals in this category. So here they are!
- This week our church is having a week of prayer and fasting. During this time I am not listening to any audiobooks or podcasts. Normally, I listen to at least an hour a day – whenever I do chores, wait for the girls to fall asleep, walk or cycle anywhere. This week I want to use these times to pray instead. So far, so good. There were already moments where I would have prefered to drown out my own thoughts with a fun audiobook. In other moments I have really enjoyed a bit of silence, or music!
- Something that has been on my heart for some years is that I want to become a person of prayer. This means many things to me but one area I really want to grow in is to intercede for others every single day.
- I want to engage with Scripture every single day – whether I just read a psalm, listen to a few chapters on audio or do a more in depth study – I want to feed myself with God’s word daily.
Marriage + Parenting goals
- A monthly date night.
- Do something special (go away for a night or two maybe?) for our 10-year anniversary.
- Read one parenting book.
- Read one marriage book.
- Take the girls to the woods at least once a month.

2026 goals for the Blog
- Apparently I am feeling confident! Because I want to try and publish at least one post every single week!
Health + Fitness goals
I have tried lots of different types of exercise and have figured out a few things over the years:
- An intense cardio workout is what my body, soul and mind need at least once a week.
- Yoga, running, swimming, cycling and HIIT workouts are my favourite.
- I need to start small! The threshold has to be really low.
Having done very little exercise other than cycling places over the last year I feel quite desperate to get back into moving my body more delibaretely. So, here’s what I want to do:
- Complete a couch to 5k running plan.
- Swim once a week or do a 30-minute HIIT workout at home.
- Do Yoga once a week.
- Only take the electric bike when I tow the trailer, when I am riding without the girl I want to go on my normal bike.

Learning + Reading
- Read 52 books. I’d like to prioritise reading more books with my eyes, maybe aim for a 50/50 split between audio and reading on a page, whether that would be on a physical book or my kindle.
Hobbies + Creativity
- I have signed up for a sewing class that starts in 3 weeks and I am super excited! My goal is to sit down to sew at home at least once between each sewing session.
- Last year, I dabbled a bit in free-motion quilting and it was so fun! I would like to complete at least one project – maybe make a small pouch or a cover for my Bible – using this technique.
- I’d like to knit a summer top (I started this one) and at least one jumper (I have been dreaming of this one).
- Plus a knitting project that uses colour work would be great.
- Practice piano or guitar once a week.
Home + Garden goals
- Declutter each room in our home. I did a deep clean of my office this week and it completely changed the levels of my motivation for everything! If such a small corner of our home can have such a strong impact on how I feel I wonder what it would be like to give some TLC to the rest of the flat.
- Get a shelf for our kitchen to organise all of the girls craft supplies into and so we can free up some counter space.
- Buy a comfortable chair (and a fluffly throw to go on it – maybe a sheep skin?) for my office.
- Grow zinnias, cucumbers and strawberries in our garden. And maybe some spinach.

What are your goals for 2026? I’d love to hear about them!
