2025 highlights – Part 2

The server seemed to struggle with the amount of pictures I uploaded to my highlights post so I had to split it into two!

July highlights

  • Edd and I went to see a Euros football match in Basel. Germany won! It was such a good time.
  • We were really enjoying the summer!
  • More harvesting from our little garden.
  • We travelled to England again – this time for our campervan holiday and Newday!!

August highlights

  • More Newday fun, a day out in London and the joys of coming home after two weeks away.
  • SJ turned four years old!! We had a whole weekend of celebrations which was a bit much but also really fun.
  • Summer holidays at home – going to new playgrounds and spending lots of time at our local pool.
  • A trip to the Zoo with my dad.
  • Lots of time outside.

September highlights

  • It was my 35th birthday!
  • One of my nephews started school and we had such fun celebrations for it. These big milestones also feel so emotional to me! Time goes by too quickly.
  • We went to a local bird/amusement park for the day with the extended family and it was such an amazing day out!
  • L started nursery. Also emotional!
  • We participated in a local protest against higher childcare fees. It was such a special event, I love feeling so connected to so many other parents and caregivers in my local community.
  • Our friends Jo and Sophie came for a brief visit and it was so lovely to have them!

October highlights

  • Autumnal walks in the woods.
  • Getting involved with leading the kids ministry in our church.
  • A breakfast date with my bestie.
  • Friendship generally!
  • I finished sewing my Orbit bag!
  • Making a Sophie scarf. (Sadly I have lost it somewhere. Might have to buy another ball of Cashmere yarn…)
  • The annual Apple and Pumpkin party hosted by Lucys nursery.
  • A date at a museum.

November highlights

  • Performing at an open Mic night together with my Dad.
  • Celebrating St. Martin’s!
  • Outdoor fun.
  • A trip to the UK to meet our youngest Nephew – it was one of our favourite days of the whole year!
  • Decorating our Christmas tree.
  • Going to a sewing class.
  • I got my hair cut and loved it!

December highlights

  • Enjoying Advent with as a family.
  • Casting on my Advent socks.
  • L pointing at every Nikolaus and Christmas tree and saying “Nikilau” and “Weinatsbau”.
  • A really great Christmas party at our friends house.
  • Celebrating Christmas with family and friends and our church.
